Guerlain Goldenland Palette

Miss Manners says: don’t get your lipstick out at the dinner table. But Guerlain Rouge G defies any such etiquette commands, as we have previously stated here.

We’re pretty sure that we know where Miss Manners would stand on getting an eyeshadow palette out at the table, too – but oh, look at this! The most gorgeous gilded Guerlain palette, almost a piece of jewellery (or a minaudière) in its own right - and surely positively begging to be flashed at the table at Annabel’s, Bob Bob Ricard or – hey, the Dog & Duck, if it comes down to it. It’s pretty rare that we stumble across a selection of colours that we’d be universally happy to wear, too – but the shades inside are absolutely gorgeous. Very wearable neutrals, with some shimmering shades (not too glittery, just candle-glow-y), and some smokiness – and yes, there’s a pink, but a dab of that on the cheeks is rather becoming.

There are 10 matte and metallic shades in all, and we can see ourselves bringing this out Christmas after Christmas.
