Treatments We Love: Omorovicza Illuminating Facial
‘Stepping into the Liberty department store from the madness of central London is always a welcome respite – but then when you get inside the inner sanctum of the Omorovicza treatment room, behind one of Liberty’s many secret doors, you’ll truly find yourself transported to a place of blissful Zen.’ That’s the experience of Beauty Bible’s Amy Eason, who took time out from the latest hectic round of Beauty Bible Awards to check out one of their fabulous facials.
‘It’s so peaceful and serene a space that you’ll forget the throng of shoppers outside as the scent of the brand’s signature orange blossom fragrance wafts beautifully around. All the lovely therapists are trained in the art of Hungarian facial massage - one of the secrets to the fantastic results. Here’s Amy’s report:
‘I opted for the Illuminating Facial, which starts with a thorough consultation about what my skin was currently feeling and looking like and what I would like to achieve from the treatment so they can tailor the products to your specific needs.
‘I always want to look brighter, less tired and, well, just “well” (I mean, who doesn’t?) So I was treated to a deep cleanse with the classic Thermal Cleansing Balm and then one of my favourite hero products from the brands range, the Copper Peel, which leaves skin baby smooth, refined and boosted from powerful antioxidants. Then came the massage – I’ve never experienced a facial massage like it – deeply relaxing and wonderfully invigorating (think: super circulation-boosting!) I felt my jaw slowly unclench and relax for the first time in I don’t know how long.
‘Next, a beautiful mask was applied while I was treated to a heavenly hand massage and then I was left to slowly, reluctantly…. come back to reality. As I turned and looked in the mirror I was quite shocked. I was a very different version of myself than when I’d arrived an hour earlier – plumper, dewier, glowing, radiant – all the adjectives you want to use after a facial, plus my fine lines had been ironed out.
