We have been fans of Stila since day one. Literally, Day One of the brand landing in the UK, when the original founder Jeanine Lobell showed off her range to Jo, and got her very excited. (Later, the pair of them went thrifting in L.A. for a feature for YOU magazine – one of Jo’s most-fun assignments ever!)
Since then, we have watched the range grow and flourish, always on-trend but also – so importantly for us – always with very wearable shades among the more fashion-focused elements of the line-up. (Case in point: last week’s Fab Find of the Week, showcasing Stila x The Hunger Games collaboration, which you can find here.)
We also were delighted to include Stila Convertible Color – a true classic product – in The Beauty Bible Iconic Edition (read more about our book here) – and so we’re especially delighted that this prize draw stars that particular product.
So, here’s what you’ll find in the kit – we have three to be won, each worth £115 – and we love the fact that the winners will be able to pick their shades from the line-up for two of the prize items…
The line-up of Stila Convertible Color shades
Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip & Cheek Cream (usually £19) – launched all the way back in 2000, this really does deserve its status as a Beauty Bible Icon, recognised in our book for its repeat wins in the blusher category and the high praise from our real-life testers. Tap onto cheeks for fresh-looking colour, then use on lips to pull everything together if you choose – but let’s leave it to some tester comments to really bring this product alive: ‘I was not expecting to be wowed – blusher isn’t a big must for me, but after a month I realised I couldn’t be without this. I found myself turning to it for a quick top-up of a look or making myself look like I’d tried a bit when I went out. It really feels as if it’s giving back to your skin as well, which is a real bonus.’ And, from another happy tester, ‘Smooth, glowy finish that looks brilliantly natural – and I didn’t need to reapply.’ And you get to choose your shade from the wearable range.
Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Dark Brown (£22) – the fine, marker-style tip lets you draw anything from a discreet line along the lashes to a more dramatic flick, while the waterproof formula truly stays put. (We love this rich chocolate brown, which offers definition but with a softer edge.
HUGE Extreme Lash Mascara in Brown (£24) – this brown version of Stila’s volumising favourite offers lovely, soft impact, with a formula that hugs and catches every lash (clever wand!), is smudge-proof and suitable for contact lens wearers.
Heaven’s Hue Highlighter in Kitten (£31) – bouncy to the touch and wonderfully lightweight, this highlighter melts into skin for subtle, diffused radiance. Apply the highlighter – here, in a soft, light-diffusing beige-y gold – with fingertips, a sponge or a brush, over foundation or bare skin. (Feeling scared of shimmer? A dot on brow-bones and even the cupid’s bow never goes amiss.)
Heaven’s Dew Honey Glow Balm (£19) – we absolutely LOVE this creamy, dreamy lip colour – as our review here explained when we first tried this, ‘we are known devotees of tinted lip balms, but this one’s a new favourite because it has just a touch more (sheer) pigment than most, and a LOT more staying power. So, a tinted lip balm – but with generally more va-va-voom.’ You get to select the shade, from a range which spans gorgeous red Cherry-Oh to subtle rose pink Candy Kiss.
