Fab Find of The Week: Spacemasks Grapefruit & Orange

We’re slavishly devoted to Spacemasks, as many of you know. So when news of a new ‘variety’ reaches us, we’re like greyhounds out of a trap, keen to get our hands (paws?) on it.

Spacemasks Orange & Grapefruit version has introduced us to a whole new way to enjoy Spacemasks, at the start of the day. Now, we normally turn to these heated eye masks at night, to soothe and calm before bedtime. But somehow, the citrus scent that gently wafts from these isn’t very sleepy-making, so we had an idea: reach for one of these in the morning, before meditating.

And here’s the weird thing: we’ve found that the sense of calm delivered by the gentle warming sensation as these are placed over the eyes really helps us to get into the zone, with a Spacemask keeping out the light and relaxing the often tense muscles around the eyes just enhances the whole experience. It’s now our chosen way to start what we know might turn out to be a stressful day, helping with focus and slowing our breathing right down, while that zesty scent has the effect of making us feel more alert, afterwards.

We don’t do it every morning. But every now and Zen, for sure
