Astonishingly, the label on this widely-TV-advertised soap stayed put through to the last sliver – in fact, it outlived the last sliver, seemingly Superglued to the bar itself (although its conception definitely pre-dates Superglue). We have to say that the brand dropped off our radar somewhere along the way, due to an affection for even posher soaps. (One of life’s great small pleasures.) But it’s firmly BACK with this range of body cleansers and exfolliators, in two really rather (surprisingly) lovely scents. What a relief, then, to find a Korean product that de-clutters your bathroom shelf/bedside table, rather than clutters it up. Wonderbalm really is a bit of a wonder. It’s not the first multi-tasking balm we’ve written about, and probably won’t be the last, but we’re enjoying finding more and more tasks that this glass pot of balm can perform. They claim ‘3-in-1’: eye pencil, eyeshadow and eyeliner. Certainly, it multi-tasks as a smooshable, so-easy eyeshadow, or a stronger pencil that can be used for defining. 3-in-1 Eyes Multitasker is self-sharpening, and the finish you get is all down to how hard you press – a little more force for eyelining, a lighter touch for shading. (Can be blended with fingers, or a synthetic eyeshadow brush.) It lasts well – they promise 12 hours and we wouldn’t contradict. And how many times have we been disappointed…? All that is behind us, with the debut of O.P.I. RapidDry nail polish, the first truly to deliver on its quick-drying pledge, in our experience. Somewhat cynically, Jo first applied one coat – and it was dry within a few seconds. Cagily, a day later, she applied a second coat – and a glossy top coat soon, after – and again, completely rock solid in a couple of blinks of an eye. This is actually a little bit life-changing: something you can whizz onto your nails to make them look shiny and groomed right before you head out the door.
