Beauty Bible Loves... SACRED Skincare
Hereβs another wonderful brand weβd like to give a shout-out to, in International Womenβs Month β technically #IWD is a day, but weβve had a great time s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g it out over all of March, dedicating every daily post to female-founded beauty brands.
Sacred skincare came onto our radar recently in a roundabout way via Instagram, and weβre sorry it took us so long to discover them. Sacred was founded in the beginning of 2020 (a heck of a time for a start-up); as founder Natalie Hughes explains, βIβve always believed in minimal beauty routines and the power of little rituals. I advocate slow, mindful beauty and ageing well. After all,β she adds, βour bodies are in a constant state of flux. The key to feeling beautiful is to work with this reality, not against it.β
Ingredients are 100% natural, cruelty-free and vegan, and β to quote Natalie again β βWeβre always looking for ways to reduce waste, ruse and recycle and regenerate nature.β
One particular product caught our eye, originally, which is the Spring Revival Body Balm (because at this end of a long winter, our bodies DEFINITELY need that). Itβs powered by rosehip oil, olive squalane, botanical butters (we can smell some cocoa butter in there), infused with a blend of sweet orange, frankincense, rosemary, eucalyptus and cedarwood oils. Great for feet, for last-thing-at-night massage (something we do ritually), but also for dry and flaky bits anywhere. We can almost feel our skin coming back to life, with each anointmentβ¦
Thereβs a great kit, above, The Rituals Collection, which contains the βstarβ products from the range, in travel sizes: Elemental Glow Balancing Face Oil, Elemental Glow Luxury Candle, TLC Lip Balm (this is fab), and that Spring Revival balm. It comes with a card that guides you step-by-step towards a calmer, grounded self-care ritual.
Meanwhile, we reckon youβll feel a bit more chilled just looking at the film on the home page of Sacredβs websiteβ¦
