Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Weleda Fragrance Body & Hair Mist

Weleda has bottled the scent wardrobe of a carefree holiday – at a refreshingly purse-friendly £15.95 a pop. And – better than that – these are all naturally-derived fragrances, which it’s hard to find at the best of times, never mind at that price.
Strikingly packaged in eye-popping brights that are a world away from Weleda’s usual livery, these Body & Hair Mists are light, aloe-vera-infused pick-me-ups for skin and – er – hair. They’re perfect for gym bags, desk drawers and at-desk refreshment, and easily layerable if you fancy scenting by mood rather than rules. What do they smell like?
Vanilla Cloud is the soft, snuggly gourmand swirl of creamy vanilla, spun sugar, warm caramel, biscuit and toffee. It is sweet, yes, but we wouldn’t call it full-on pudding – and likely to appeal to anyone who wants their fragrance to feel reassuringly edible, or super-cosy.
Tropical Crush is, frankly, instant escape. Peach, mango and pineapple lead into pear, raspberry and violet, before vanilla, cedarwood and sandalwood anchor that fruit cocktail. Bright, sunny and uncomplicated, ideal for anyone determined to wring a last drop of summer out of the season. (Not that summer looks like it’s about to disappear anytime soon.)
Mystic Aura is, we’re finding, the moodier sibling: sparkling orange and orchid over a floral heart with gourmand facets, warmed by vanilla and amber. We’d probably call it sunset-in-a-bottle – the most grown-up, after-dark option of the three.
All three use 100% natural-origin fragrance and feature aloe vera and glycerin to give a lightly refreshing, skin-kind feel. Don’t expect massive longevity: these are deliberately breezy mists, intended to be reapplied liberally (and enjoyed, rather than rationed).
So you can be generous to yourself – and generous with the scents…
