Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Max Factor Mellow Blur

We’re not generally massive fans of beauty trends. But the ‘blurry lip’ had us at ‘hello’, when we first used a product like Max Factor Mellow Blur. (Er, from a much more expensive, v-e-r-y French brand.)

These are as good as any blurry lip product we’ve tried, in a range of wearable colours – Jo bought Cashmere Cherry, then went right back next day for Brushed Berry. As you can see above, though, there are lighter and more neutral shades in this six-shade line-up, if cherry/berry tones don’t push your buttons. Note: they’re not exactly sheer, but they aren’t as scary as the shades above first appear.

Max Factor Mellow Blur is soft, instantly comforting (not like a balm, but with a cashmere feel), and so easy to use that you could put it on without a mirror, basically. A boon for Zooms, where you don’t want to look like you’ve tried hard, but you want lips that are ‘there’.

Not a here-today-gone-tomorrow trend, for us, but something we’re elevating to a classic beauty look.
