Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Garnier Micellar Hyaluron Cleansing Water

We are here to clear up some possible confusion, with this week’s Weekend Steal. Maybe you are standing dithering in front of the Garnier counter, wondering where Garnier Micellar Hyaluronic Aloe Water All-in-1 may have gone – a fantastic Beauty Bible Award-winner, and a product we happily use ourselves, when short of time – then it has had a name-change. Maybe you’ve ordered it online, and apparently been sent something completely different.

We were seriously baffled because we needed to shoot the Aloe Water All-in-1 for our new book. It’s still called that on the Boots website. Yet when the parcel arrived, it seemingly contained a completely different product. Whereupon we had to get firmly in Sherlock Holmes mode, to unravel what was happening. And our conclusion is…

So, Garnier Micellar Hyaluron Cleansing Water has the exact same ingredients. (We have examined with a magnifying glass.) Having put it through its paces, we can confirm: it has the same brilliant make-up cleansing power, including the ability to remove eye make-up without needing a separate product.

The new name is presumably to big up the fact that it contains our old buddy hyaluronic acid, and also now has the words ‘BARRIER STRENGTH’ emblazoned under the product name – again, tapping into the zeitgeist, since barrier function is such a hot topic.

Happy to clear that up for you. And even happier to announce: it’s still an absolute bargain, at £9.99 for a whacking 400ml (and you’ll often find it even cheaper, online).

You’re welcome.
