Oh, happy day – when a new eye cream lands on your desk just when you’ve smeared the last atom of your existing favourite out of a jar. (And believe it or not, at Beauty Bible we DO get to the end of much-loved products.)

First things first: we go back a l-o-n-g way with the Neal’s Yard Frankincense range. In our very first anti-ageing book, their Frankincense Nourishing Cream came out as one of the top-scorers – and (without wanting to blow our trumpets too loudly), that incredible result helped change perceptions of Neal’s Yard from a lovely bath and body range to being seen as serious contenders in the age-defying market.

We’re massive fans – not least because we love the scent of frankincense, never mind its skin-saving powers. (Anything which can preserve the skin of an Egyptian mummy for thousands of years has got to be onto something.) So: back to this little pot of wondrousness.

But back to this cream... First off, it’s really wonderfully cooling on the skin – a treat for tired eyes. It’s not too thick or rich, so it doesn’t travel into the eyes at all. We’re not kidding when we say from the get-go that eyes look brighter, too – that’ll be the blend of green tea caffeine, turmeric and organic green coffee seed extract, designed to revive the eye zone.

Longer-term, the product showcases Neal’s Yard’s award-winning Frankincense Active Phyto Complex, which boasts all sorts of eco-credentials – but most importantly, has proven effects on fine lines and wrinkles.

Now, nothing’s going to reverse all signs of ageing. But after just a week or two, eyes look brighter, smoother (make-up glides on like a dream over this), and we’re loving using it morning and night.

And at the end of the day – oh, and the morning – it's using a product religiously, like this, that means you’ll see benefits.
