It’s really indulgent and it smells warm and intriguing – down to the kukui oil, I think. The kind of fragrance that, back in the day when we could greet people with a kiss, would make them say ‘Wow, you smell amazing.’

Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil
This was a gift from my brilliant hairdresser, Ivan Ferreira, to get me through lockdown. It’s horribly expensive, but really, really lovely to use. One small pump of this does the trick, even on my hair (long and lots of it), so it lasts and lasts.

Dermalux Flex
This isn’t really a home-use device; it’s a version of the top-of-the-range Dermalux Light Therapy technology that is used in tweakments clinics all over the world, but it IS available for private purchase, which is why I include it. And, lucky me, I was lent one of these to try out just before lockdown. What can it do? The red light reduces inflammation and encourages cell renewal in the skin for tighter, firmer skin that’s more even in tone. I’m using it nearly every day, and also trying the deeper, joint-healing, near-infrared light on my creaky back. Does it work? Oh yes. Clinically proven, gold-standard tech.
