Jo's Scent Notes: Your invitation to enjoy Issue #2 of Jo’s new fragrance magazine, On The Scent

I know that many of you love, love, loved Issue #1 of On The Scent. But I’ve been blown away by the amazing response to the magazine that I launched, with a talented team, in April.

Although it’s free to read online – here – the mag sold out in four days, and we had to get the presses whirring pronto to restock. Was I surprised? A little bit, I must admit. But then again, knowing how much I love the experience of print, of reading actual books and magazines… maybe not.

On The Scent was born as a complete labour of love, from my life-long passion for fragrance (as well as magazines!) Believe it or not, there are 150 magazines devoted to yachts. The same for wine. AND for golf! But this is almost the only magazine in the world dedicated to perfume, aroma and our sense of smell. And I know from talking to many people, over the years, that over and above just simply smelling stuff, reading about fragrance actually does deepen your appreciation and enjoyment. (It’s a brain thing!)

On The Scent includes writing from my amazing, award-winning fragrance writer colleague Suzy Nightingale, and was designed by the incredible Jenny Semple, who has worked on almost all our Beauty Bible books (including the upcoming The Beauty Bible: Iconic Edition).

And just a heads-up: On The Scent magazine is one arm of onthescentmedia.com, a multi-channel platform devoted to scent, emcompassing events, a podcast, and a regularly updated website. I may be biased, but I think you’ll love it.

If I may be so bold, nothing beats the delicious, analogue pleasure of touching, feeling and reading a properly gorgeous print magazine – and it’s priced at £10 + p&p.
