Date for your diary: The Barnes Fragrance Fair is a treat for the nose
Hands up everyone who loves fragrance?
If yours is one of them, you need this event – on Saturday 17th May 2025 – on your radar. Now in its third year, the Barnes Fragrance Fair is a most deliciously enjoyable festival of all things scented – a one-day deep-dive into perfumery, with talks (scroll down for more about Jo’s event, among others), and endless sniffing opportunities.
You’ll meet the perfumers and the founders behind many different indie fragrance brands including 4160 Tuesdays, Ostens, Nancy Meiland, Maya Njie, Kingdom Scotland, Angela Flanders – gosh, so many exciting names. You’ll smell to your heart’s content, and – we reckon – potentially learn a lot, because there’s a programme of bookable workshops and events running as part of the festival, all energetically curated by Amanda Carr of We Wear Perfume, whose brainchild the Fair is.
Entry to the fair and the exhibition (in the Methodist Church Hall on Barnes Common) is free, but there’s a charge for workshops, all listed below, which you can read more about by clicking through to Eventbrite.
