Fab Find of the Week: Philip Kingsley The Elasticizer Mayan Vanilla & Orange Blossom

If you’re experiencing hair challenges right now, we’re not surprised. A combination of central heating being turned on, damp air outside and a simmering, underlying stress and anxiety for many, makes for definite Dreadful Hair Days.

So for this week, we’re going to share a find that has transformed Sarah Stacey’s wayward hair. As she writes:

‘My mane was going completely bonkers frizzy in the damp air. I would go out for a walk, as last Sunday, having washed conditioned styled hair – looking pretty sleek and shiny – without a scarf. Literally an hour later my hair looked like crinkly tin (Australian for corrugated iron), sticking out a mile (it’s pretty long now for all the obvious reasons). From ‘alright’, it then morphed into total unmanageability and no leave-in conditioners helped.

I was foraging in my basket of hair care and found the heavenly summer scented Elasticizer, in the ‘Mayan Vanilla & Orange Blossom’ variant. First time I left it on under shower cap for about 10 minutes, then washed and conditioned. Good.

Second time I left it on for at least half an hour, same routine, styled with hot brush, a few rollers. Looked lyrical. Wore headscarf to farm - channelling ‘The Crown’. And it has kept pretty sleek and shiny for three days now.

It's good hair again instead of a mad mess. Am completely sold on it and going to order vats.’
