Fab Find of the Week: new L’OCCITANE Immortelle cleansers

We’ve long been fans of L’Occitane’s Immortelle range, as regular readers will know. And so are our testers: for some time, Divine Cream was the highest-scoring miracle cream we’d ever trialled in the Beauty Bible Awards (and products from that collection are STILL scooping Awards in 2023).

So we always get a little fluttery excitement when the range is extended. This trio doesn’t disappoint, and there’s something for everyone, no matter how you like to cleanse at the end of the day.

Immortelle Precious Cleansing Oil/£25 for 200ml. This really gets to showcase the signature immortelle oil around which the range is based, working to fight free radicals. It cleanses as effectively as you’d expect of an oil; we like to remove it with a wet flannel, but it can also be swooshed away with plain water. It leaves skin plump and soft but not greasy, thanks to hemisqualane, a natural alternative to petroleum oils, and we’ve had no problem removing mascara with the oil. (If in doubt, apply it to a wetted cotton pad, and swipe).

Immortelle Divine Foaming Cleansing Cream/£35 for 125ml. This was pre-existing, in the Immortelle line-up, but has been reformulated with AHAs to boost exfoliation. Take just a dab, add water, massage well in circular movements (avoid the eyes), and swoosh away with fresh water. It’s formulated for all skintypes, and we honestly don’t find it drying.

Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm/£39 for 60g. Are we allowed a favourite in the range? I think we definitely are, but TBH your choice from this new collection will almost certainly be based on cleansing preferences, and we do love a cleansing balm. This is rich, nurturing, featuring Omega 9-rich sweet almond oil, a generous dose of immortelle, with beeswax creating the perfect not-too-hard-not-too-slurpy texture. It melts into skin, encouraging a most pleasurable night-time massage that also works to restore glow. And like the rest of the line-up, it features that sublime immortelle scent: a little powdery, a lot aromatic and – living up to the name, so far as we’re concerned – absolutely divine!

Packaged with at least 30% recycled glass or plastic, as part of L’Occitane’s pledge to reduce waste, too.

All-round excellence, then – to the power of three.
