Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: e.l.f. Wow Brow Gel
This absolute bargain of a product is simply brilliant for sparse brows like Sarahโs. Think over-plucking as a teen horrified by her Frida Kahlo, meet-in-the-middle brows โ and a later incident with a gas oven.
The wax-gel formula comes in a slender black cylinder with a small mascara-type brush and goes on like a dream. The genius trick to creating fuller but truly natural-looking brows comes courtesy of the kaolin clay plus teeny hair-like fibres that stick to whatever brows you have, even the downy hairs you canโt see.
e.l.f.โs website video demoes how to apply by starting at the inner corner and stroking the hairs upwards first then horizontally. But, honestly, however you do it, this works.
There are five shades: Black, Deep Brown, Brunette, Neutral Brown and Taupe, which Sarah is using and tones in beautifully with her colouring. If you want a more intense look, you can apply Wow Brow Gel as a topcoat over brow pencil or powder. (Weโve just tried this and, yes, it works fabulously.)
Just a reminder that this super-affordable range is vegan and cruelty-free. All e.l.f. products are free from phthalates, parabens and a bunch of other lab-made chemicals.
And what does e.l.f. stand for, weโre often askedโฆ? Eyes. Lips. Face. Simples.
FYI, when Sarah originally wrote this review, the day before the Awards, she actually missed the fact itโs a Gold Award Winner! So our testers raved about it too, as you can see hereโฆ
How great is that?
