Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: e.l.f. Cookies 'n' Dreams Collection

We don’t quite know how e.l.f. do it, for the price – but we’re glad they do. And as this week’s super-affordable pick, we’re bringing you news of their just-launched Cookies ‘n’ Dreams Collection, with two (you might call it three ) picks, in particular…

First up, the Cookie Crumble Lip Exfolitor/£5 above – which actually isn’t nearly as scarily gritty-looking in real life as the photo. But it IS just the ticket for winter lips, we’re finding: a lightly vanilla-scented balm, with a sugary, lip-buffing texture that leaves lips really soft, nourished and gently de-flaked. Ingredients include shea butter, vitamin E, and oils of jojoba, grapeseed and avocado.

We are also ALWAYS looking for good eye crayons, as these seem to be a bit of a dying breed, but the Cookies ‘n’ Dreams No Budge Midnight Shadow Sticks/£5 each are just BRILLIANT. Not so sure about the blue and the white shades, at the top of the photo above – there’s an ‘ice’ theme going on with this collection, as well as the cookies and cream vibe – but the Midnight Milkshake (a VERY slightly metallic black) and the Cookie Lover shade (the same slightly shimmery finish, but brown) are perfect for smoosh-and-go eye shading. And, as the name promises, they really DO stay put.

We were a little anxious about the promised ‘cookie’ scent but it’s truly not overwhelming – just lovely vanilla-y whispers. There’s lots more in the collection, including a swirly marbled foundation sponge and a limited edition, cookie-scented version of their famous Cream Putty Primer.
