Beauty Bible Loves... Tata Harper Face Masks

Been a while since we got our paws on anything from Tata Harper, the American all-natural beauty brand. But these are a worthy reintroduction.

Right now is actually the perfect moment for a programme of face masks to get skin in whack again, following what felt the longest winter in living memory. (It feels that way, anyway.) Of course, you may be the diligent beauty devotee who follows our advice to slather on a mask once or twice a week – in which case, pat yourself on the back. But even we let it slide, sometimes…

These aren’t a beauty bargain, by any means – and slightly weirdly, there’s a range of pricing across the masks. But a jar is definitely cheaper than many a one-off facial – and you don’t necessarily need to be over-generous. So, choose as per skin concern, as follows – and watch your skin blossom, as it responds to the botanicals within.

For skin that’s lost its glowTata Harper Resurfacing Mask. Also ideal for sensitive skins, this gel-textured mask is powered by glycerine, brightening lactic acid, calendula, borage and lavender extracts and a touch of sunflower oil, and is also gentle enough to soothe sensitive and reactive skins.

For a deep cleanseTata Harper Purifying Mask. A detox treatment for skin that’s feeling or looking congested and out of whack, Tata Harper recommend applying this every two to three days until skin brightens up, then once or twice a week. Key botanicals include white turmeric, ginger, sandalwood, elderberry, white clay, tea tree, squalane, along with pore-refining pomegranate and papaya enzumes, white willow bark and meadowsweet.

For blemish-prone skinTata Harper Clarifying Mask. For redness, uneven texture or breakouts, this offers bentonite clay, organic honey, pink grapefruit, chlorella, sandalwood seed and oat oil, , plus active essential oils of of lemon tea tree, reose geranium, eucalyptus. There are micro-crystals together with three forms of salicylic acid, to brighten.

For thirsty skinTata Harper Hydrating Floral Mask. Our favourite of the quartet, actually: so luscious, the perfect spring skin drink, quenching with a blend that incorporates ‘1,000 different sizes of hyaluronic acid molecules’, to replenish lost moisture. Chia seed water, rose and lavender hydrosols, banana flower oil and kimchi ferment also feature, and like all the masks, this is ECOCERT-certified natural.
