Beauty Bible Loves... Leighton Denny Nail Illuminators
We’re currently biding our time when it comes to embracing new spring nail shades. Rather liking a muted nail. So these nail ‘illuminators’ from Leighton Denny are just the ticket.
One coat adds shine and a hint of a tint. And, somewhat to our surprise, even a single coat lives up to its ‘illuminating’ promise. It’s like turning a ring light onto your nails, switching on a healthy look and leaving them instantly more groomed – but it does it in an incredibly subtle way. They also double as smoothing base coats, and are enriched with nail-health-boosting ingredients including vitamin E and antioxidants.
Two coats deliver more of the effect above – you get a aense of the three available shades from the photo, although we will say that our preference is for the rosy, soft pink, almost ‘ballerina-y’ illuminator, which you can see on the little finger.
A little update: Leighton Denny (old chum of ours, still a treasured beauty colleague) has also redesigned his caps. That might not sound much, but the previous bottles had a two-component cap, with a chunky perspex outer that you removed to paint the nails with precision. This new design allows for easy removal of the cap, but fits easily in the fingers for easy, precise painting.
No doubt we’ll be in the mood for corals and reds and all manner of rainbow shades, soon – but for now? We’ll happily settle for quiet elegance.
