Floris London Rose Geranium Bath Essence

Strolling down Jermyn Street a few days ago, on a pre-Tier Three work trip to London, Jo found herself looking longingly at a bottle of this bath essence in Floris’s window and felt compelled to treat herself to a bottle for the first time in years.

With its completely unique and truly rose geranium-y rose geranium scent (honestly the only way to describe it), this is a product with a serious beauty heritage. In their fascinating archives, Floris London have – among other treasures – an invoice sent to Marilyn Monroe for several bottles of the stuff. It has been used by duchesses as well as divas (and, sssssssh, don’t tell a soul, but may well be one reason why Floris carry the Royal Warrant from both Her Majesty The Queen and the Prince of Wales). For Jo, it’s personally very nostalgic: her dad used Floris Rose Geranium shaving soap, and so it reminds her of him, too. 

At precisely this time of year, when the world seems overwhelming even in normal circs, we honestly cannot give you a better prescription than to run a hot bath (or take a hot shower), infused with the most delicious of potions – of which this is definitively one – and take the stress level down about three notches.
