Beauty Bible Loves... Clinique Black Honey

Yet another discovery – or rather, major rediscovery – from the CEW Beauty Demo evening (the event and the goodie bag that just keep on giving, so far as we’re concerned).

So, one of Jo’s first ‘lip loves’ was Clinique Black Honey: the first sheer lipstick ever to slick its way onto her radar. Unsurprisingly, to us, Black Honey has gone on to become a totally iconic shade: its berryish tones flatter literally every skintone, deepening the natural tone of your lips as if by magic. But it’s now become what they call in the beauty industry ‘a franchise’, with a collection of different products allowing us to flatter our faces ‘the Black Honey way’.

Clinique Almost Lipstick is the closest to the Black Honey original: a long, slim wand of adaptable tint – see below for how it looks different on everyone. It feels nourishing on lips (guess it’s more akin to a tinted lip balm than anything else), and honestly, you could put this on in the dark. (We’ve been known to.) Seven of these are sold worldwide EVERY MINUTE, and we’re not surprised.
