Celebrating the 100th birthday of Chanel No5 is a stunning line-up of products and shades, in some cases emblazoned with the number ‘5’, making them completely collectible as well as utterly desirable. You’ll find highlighters and glittery eyeshadow lacquers in the range, but the options topping our personal wishlist are as follows…
Les 4 Ombres - Exclusive Creation No5 – each of the shades has a ‘5’ embossed into the silky powder, in a palette of four shades that includes a satin-finish amber, shimmering golden white, intense smoky and matte black, and a glittery white. Absolutely show-stopping.
Rouge Allure No5 – the ‘5’ here features on the cap of the Rouge Allure case, which ranks right up there with Most Glamorous Lipsticks In the World. We’ve loved it since we got our hands on Rouge Allure for the first time, with its almost James Bond-like ‘gadget’ factor: you have to depress the end to release the lipstick. (We sometimes amuse ourselves by giving this to girlfriends to try, and they can’t always figure it out! So fun.) There’s a hot pink, a deep garnet and three absolutely show-stopping reds, tapping into the mood of the moment. (Red lipstick was already a buzz; Taylor Swift’s made it more so. Google it, if you’re not sure what we’re on about.)
Le Vernis (ROUGE IMTEMPOREL) Enough of the natural nails! We’re ready for red, and this is a stunning, perfect, show-stopping choice.
