Something she plans to take advantage of. This is a Champneys location, and of course, Champneys virtually invented spas in the UK. Set in the sprawling grounds of a home that once belonged to Queen Victoria’s son, Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh (and where she apparently loved to holiday), the spa itself is sleek and absolutely state-of-the-art. Co-curated by a super-cool trio – @bunnykinney (Global Executive Creative Director of Dazed Studio), educator and writer @gonzaloherrero and visual anthropologist @matti_fries the exhibition was previously shown in Japan, and is open here in this stunning Georgian gallery beside the Thames, until September. The evening was spent listening to Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, the genius behind iconic scents like cKOne, Gucci Bloom, and Marc Jacobs Daisy. As Jo and fellow fragrance lovers inhaled his creations, one spritz transported her back to a long-forgotten phase: her FLOWER BY KENZO moment.
