Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Max Factor False Lash Effect Supreme Recharge Mascara
We don’t generally go for a ‘false lash’ effect – we’re more the natural type. But without looking spidery or as if lashes are entering the room a few seconds before the rest of you, this is a darned good mascara.
It grips. (‘Waisted’ silicone wand, grabbing every last lash.) It properly volumises. It adds lashings of black pigment to the lashes, and – if that IS your thing – it’s buildable to a quite dramatic effect.
We very much like the fact that this is refillable (a first for Max Factor) – because why chuck out a perfectly good wand when you’re done? The plain black refill slips inside the rather Tom Ford-like gold outer packaging and hey, presto! You’re all topped up. (Though we’d definitely clean the wand at that changeover point.)
Max Factor False Lash Effect Supreme Recharge Mascara has one more thing going for it, which is that the keratin-rich formula promises healthier-looking naked lashes, in just four weeks. We haven’t had time to check that out (yet) – but for instant effects and that refill factor, we’re giving this 10/10. (A rare accolade for any mascara, from us.)
