Beauty Bible Loves... BYOMA Foaming Rice Deep Cleanser
Exfoliation is usually the enemy of barrier function. Scrubbing and sloughing can leave the skin vulnerable to assault from UV rays and environment aggressors, removing protective layers that nature put there for a reason.
But frankly, we can trust BYOMA to come up with something that gives skin the dinge-busting, brightening treatment that we often need at this sluggish time of years, while respecting that all-important barrier function. It’s what their good at.
This is a joy to use – not every night, we’d say, but perhaps once or twice a week for a radiance-boost, maybe as part of an occasional double-cleanse. Its secret weapon is incredibly finely-milled rice powder, which is gentle enough to banish dead cells without scratching skin. Add water, as directed, and it turns into a light, whipped foam allowing for massage. (Though we’d always counsel using the lightest pressure.)
The not-so-secret barrier-boosting weapon is a triple-dose of ceramides, all-important protective building blocks in that barrier, alongside soothing, moisturising algae extract. Result? Skin feels soft, moisturised, rather than dry and touchy.
No barriers from us, when it comes to recommending.
