Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: L'Oréal TrueMatch Super-Blendable Foundation

Serum foundations are our #NBFs. We’ve fallen for the texture, which tends to be wonderfully, comfortingly moisturising, leaving skin with a dewy (but not shiny) finish; they tend to offer really excellent and buildable coverage, without looking cake-y.

The catch? Lots of them are super-expensive. That hasn’t stopped us buying them in the past, believing that a great foundation is worth the investment, every time.

Except… now we don’t have to splurge, if we’re feeling the pinch – because this L’Oréal TrueMatch Super-Blendable Foundation has a wonderfully serum-y feel and finish that makes it feel like it’s nourishing your skin, will doing a really good job of covering up sun spots, broken veins and generally smoothing things out. And it’s UNDER A TENNER!

Even MORE serum-y – though offering slightly less coverage (what we’d class as ‘weekend coverage’) is L'Oréal Paris True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Skin Serum, with 1% hyaluronic acid. (A tiny bit pricier, this, at £14.99 for 30ml.)

They both come in a fantastic and hearteningly broad range of shade options, from palest alabaster to the deep tones you can see above.

Real ‘why pay more’ finds, on the foundation front. (Which translates, for us, as: less money on make-up, more to spend at the garden centre!)
