And, since we’re celebrating International Women’s Month with a focus on female beauty dynamos, we want to celebrate here the genius of Lesley Aaronson, who is the creative driving force behind H&I, pictured below with her life and business partner, her (equally lovely) husband Denis.

This latest collection is Cloud Nine: 10 fragrant products for the home and for the body, infused with a ‘happiness-inducing’ blend of orange, lemon, grapefruit and mandarin, and with an equally zingy, very colourful look. Cloud Nine Perfumed Spray/£6. As with everything else in the collection, this is wonderfully zesty – a citrus-powered scent in a 100% recycled, recyclable bottle (which adds to its feel-good factor).
Cloud Nine Blooming Happy Top to Toe Kit/£12. Show your extremities some TLC! This useful little see-through bag (below) features a smoothing body lotion and hand cream (50ml each), bath salts (30g), lip balm, plus a shea butter foot cream (30ml) – because we KNOW that happy feet make a happy woman, don’t we…?
Cloud Nine Hand Cream in Tin/£10 for 100ml. H&I’s tins are absolutely FAB – much too nice to throw away; we frequently give them to friends and family and they never fail to delight. The hand cream formula itself is just-so, too, rich but not sticky and powered here by shea butter, vitamin E, glycerine, cloudberry seed oil and custard apple extract.
Cloud Nine Hand & Nail Care Bag/£15. The pièce de resistance in the collection, as far as we’re concerned. Heathcote & Ivory’s bags are so well-designed – truly capacious – and this would make a great make-up bag, after your hand cream and cuticle cream have slathered their last. A cute nail file also features.
