Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating newness

See that word โ€˜gentleโ€™? Thatโ€™s a magic word, for those of us with sensitive skin. And thereโ€™s a delicate (in every way) balance with sensitive skin (which we know all about, personally): you want it to look bright, not dull โ€“ but you donโ€™t want to strip away too many layers, through aggressive exfoliation.

These two new additions to the Cetaphil range โ€“ which as weโ€™ve said before, is regularly โ€˜prescribedโ€™ by us to those of touchy complexion โ€“ are just the ticket, weโ€™ve found, after giving them a go. The blend of exfoliating acids in Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating SA Cleanser and Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating SA Lotion is carefully measured so as not to irritate โ€“ weโ€™re talking salicylic, mandelic and poly-hydroxy acids โ€“ but does indeed leave skin that bit brighter. The cleanser is non-stripping, though, and both products contain lots of skin-friendly emolllients.

Where Cetaphil break all the rules is by telling customers: itโ€™s fine to use this on face and body. TBH, thatโ€™s true of many products, butโ€ฆ the beauty industry actually wants us to have myriad, โ€˜targetedโ€™ products, rather than ones which multi-task for face, body, hands, feet etc.

Fragrance-free, pleasantly textured, these can work for all the family โ€“ and while the prices arenโ€™t absolutely bargain basement, the generously sized products will last and last.

Gently (but effectively) does it, then.
