Clinique Even Better Serum Foundation
Mostly, tinted moisturiser does us just fine right now. But sometimes, it calls for that little extra confidence that comes from a little extra coverage.
At this time of year, though, we want dewiness – and nothing quite delivers that, in our book, like a serum foundation.
We actually got to try Clinique Even Better Serum Foundation in real life, last week – in Harrods, which was a much more subdued version of its usual bustling self, but with super-helpful staff who were clearly just so, so happy to be back doing what they love.
And it really is rather wowzer. Amazing coverage, for such a light foundation – yet it doesn’t look in the last mask-like. If you look at the visuals alongside each of the shades that it’s available in, you’ll see exactly HOW covering it is. The finish, meanwhile, isn’t matte, but has that slight aforementioned dewiness – and it also feels fabulously moisturising, on the skin.
As ever, we applaud Clinique, who really were way ahead of the pack in offering a wide shade range – but in this case, the selection spans 41 different options.
What we would say is: it’s still always best to try on skin, in store, if you possibly can. The technique used by our particular Clinique sales consultant was to squirt a few options onto a tissue, whereupon we could remove our mask just long enough to pat onto jawline and figure out which of these was the best match.
