NAOBAY Deep Cleansing Milk

This range drifted onto Jo’s radar via her side hustle as Waitrose’s beauty editor. (You can read her columns regularly in Waitrose Weekend.) The buyers recently loaded up with a bumper fun pack of new-to-the-store products, including this cleansing milk.

Her first question: why the slightly weird name? Turns out NAOBAY is an acronym for ‘Natural and Organic, Beauty and You’ (despite the fact that the brand was founded by two entrepreneurial brothers in Valencia, Javier and Cristina. Everything is natural and with a high overall percentage of organic ingredients, and there’s actually a pretty wide range (not all of it available at Waitrose – or not yet).

This is one of our fave NAOBAY finds from Jo’s beauty haul: a must-try for anyone who likes a milky cleanser. It’s seriously soothing on the skin, thanks to an extract of violet, with a nourishing blend that includes pumpkin, olive, tigernut and rice oils, along with apple and lemon extracts. The whole lot is infused with orange flower water which gives a delectable scent (and sort of whisks us to Valencia in itself).

You can apply with fingers or a cotton pad, removing either with more pads or (we always prefer) a muslin cloth. Skin’s gently but deeply cleansed, soft and plump-feeling.

Overall, muy bien.
