Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: John Frieda Root Lift Dry Texture Spray

Once upon a time, John Frieda had a great product called Funky Chunky. It created a great, textured look that many of us still love (and which has always been a bit of a signature hair look at the John Frieda salon – a completely classic style). Funky Chunky was great for adding a bit of movement and zhoosh, and breaking up hair that could look a bit listless and straight.

That product, alas, died a death – but here’s a cool replacement from John Frieda, this time in the form of a texture spray that just adds noticeable lift at the roots (zero stickiness, zero crunch, NB), and makes hair look that bit fuller and bouncier. Because it’s used on dry hair, you can reach for it whenever hair’s looking a bit… like it’s lost its mojo.

That has gone straight into Jo’s ‘hair wardrobe’, extending time between blow-dries and generally giving a bit of that funky chunkiness that we rather missed. Hurrah!
