Fab Find of the Week: Self-Glow by James Read newness
There were grand ‘hurrahs’ the other day when James Read scooped two Cosmetic Executive Women Awards for the self-tanning range he launched just last year – Best New Body Product (Prestige), for Sunrise To Sundown Tinted Tan Serum, and Best New Brand, for Self-Glow. Amazing accolades for such a young brand – but we raved about it when it first launched, and we’re raving about these two innovations, the first to join the original line.
The first is Self-Glow by James Read First Light Tinted Tan Serum – and the photos above really do give a guide as to how much you’ll be transformed with just one application. And yet… it’s a seamless effect, because this is a product that’s glides on easily and blends well, because it’s also moisturising, with ingredients like apricot oil, phyto-collagen and something by the name of Gatuline® Radiance. Apply at night – or alternatively, if you do it in the morning, you get a veil of colour that means you may not need any other base on top. (NB If used at night, rest assured it doesn’t come off on the pillow.)
Results are even smoother if you use the Self-Glow by James Read Face & Body Glow Brush for application. As the name suggests, use it on faces, use it to smooth faux tan into hard-to-reach spots like backs of the knees, for a streak-free finish – and it’s SO much more aesthetically pleasing to use than a mitt! (James recommends washing after each use; we’re finding our trusty friend ISOCLEAN is ideal for this.)
