Fab Find of the Week: Véronique Gabai Aroma fragrances

We are having a bit of a Véronique Gabai moment (and it may not be over yet!) As we shared last week, when giving you details of a fragrance event that Véronique is hosting at Harrods on 1st July – read about it here – this brand founder excels at introducing light and sunshine into her fragrances – and the Aroma scents are very much in the same sun-drenched spirit.

But there’s a difference. Because fascinatingly, these are composed specifically to be mood-shifting. They’re fragrances in their own right – you could wear any one of them for its sheer beauty – but beyond that, these have been composed by a doctor in aromatherapy and finished by a master perfumer, to create ‘an aura of wellbeing’ – and in our opinion, they really do.

So, there are three Aroma fragrances in the collection…

SOUL is soothing, tethering, grounding, with lavender, cedarwood and resinous elements of elemi and frankincense (olibanum), ‘to bring harmony and peace of mind, calm nervous tension and help you connect with the greater force of the universe.’ (Just brilliant before a yoga class, we tell you!)

BODY offers rose, geranium, patchouli and clove leaf, ‘to alleviate stress, align the body and mind, and act as a light aphrodisiac.’ (It’s absolutely beautiful, and nobody would guess this was an ‘aromatherapy’ fragrance, if they smelled it on you.)

HEART is perhaps our favourite (or at least, for the past few summery days that has been the case) – so zesty, citrusy, radiant with notes of lemon, bergamot, grapefruit, jasmine and cedarwood, chosen ‘to alleviate anxiety and fatigue, bring renewed self-confidence and help you connect with others.’
