NEST New York Charcoal Woods collection

Suddenly, it’s autumn. Time to get the blankets and quilts out, and give them a good shake. And we find ourselves wanting our homes to smell cosy, snuggly, cocooning, too.

So this new collection from NEST NY – the Manhattan-based home fragrance brand which has rather taken the UK by storm – is a welcome find, with a scent that is smouldering, smoky, mysterious. Alongside a properly smoky note of charred birchwood, resinous labdanum and cedarwood, there’s more than a little patchouli – and that always pushes our buttons, and Charcoal Woods is the debut launch for NEST NY’s new Wilderness Collection, which will explore different facets of woodsiness.

NEST NY’s signature Regency-striped glass vessels have been repurposed for this collection in a wonderfully chic, smoked grey – and really can be upcycled as vases, once they’ve flickered or wafted their last. 

An autumnal olfactory consolation for having to wear vests and tights again…
