Fab Find of the Week: Jurlique Rose Facial Oil
It has been a while since Jurlique launched any newness. This was so worth the wait: honestly, the most blissful, rosetastic facial oil.
Can we talk about glide, for a moment? Jurlique Rose Facial Oil is actually billed as a ‘dry’ oil, which translates in this case as: it sinks in fast, but leaves skin touch-me velvety. Jurlique maintain that it can actually be used under make-up in the morning – haven’t tried this for ourselves, yet, but are going to give it a go!
It also reflects Jurlique’s first redesign in – oh, forever, alongside other delights in the Rose range which now have a more contemporary look, and to which the whole line-up will gradually transition. We sincerely hope that it helps to put Jurlique front and centre – where it belongs – on the radar of natural beauty devotees; we’ve been fans since we met the original founder, Dr. Jurgen Klein, even before the launch of our very first book two and a half decades ago – and it’s a brand whose time has come, with the focus on botanical ingredients and now, eco-friendlier packaging. (The rose range is now up to 94% recyclable.)

The bloom featured – which also gives the rose range – the most divine scent, is actually the ‘Jurlique rose’, grown on Jurlique’s biodynamic farm in the Adelaide Hills, a special plant developed in collaboration with Australia’s renowned rose breeder, George Thompson. The oil is extracted using a ‘Supercritical C02 extraction method’, blended with other skin-nourishers including squalene, oils of jojoba, castor, olive, meadowfoam and soya, plus carrot root extract to deliver plumping, moisturising, measurably suppleness-boosting effects. We are just a little bit in love, actually.
And now… call us greedy, but can we please have this facial in body oil format too, please, Jurlique…?
