Fab Find of the Week: ILIA The Ethereal Baked Face Palette
It feels funny – although also cheering – to be writing about what is essentially a palette of summery-feeling shades, when it is most definitely winter out there… but this is too good to miss. ILIA describe The Ethereal Baked Face Palette as being ‘for the Holidays,’ (capital ‘H’). We think it’s more ‘for holidays…’ But there you go.
Discovered at Space NK’s Christmas PR extravaganza (there is little that would lure us to Shoreditch, but we made an exception), but alas out of stock on their site, this limited edition palette is just fab-bu-lous.
It's a gorgeous line-up of baked bronzer, blush and subtle (SUBTLE!) highlighter, which blends with a fluffy brush and really stays put. Incredibly flattering, blurring powders make skin look like yours – only way healthier.
Technically, there are three shade selections for three different skintones, but pale-skinned Jo opted for the medium palette, with powders described as ‘Golden Pearl, Medium Bronze, Golden Peach, Warm Rose. Now she just can’t WAIT for a winter sun holiday to roll around, because this is a complete look, in one very pleasingly tactile palette. (Which happens to have an excellent mirror.)
As it happens, the palest palette is now also out of stock even on ILIA’s website – which just shows how this is FLYING. So, do not tarry, dear reader! It’s an absolute stunner. Come ice, come sun…
