Fab Find of the Week: Aromatherapy Associates The Atomiser
Be still our beating hearts. No, literally, be still our beating hearts: The Atomiser has already, variously, genuinely slowed our pulse rate, readied us for bed and made us feel wide awake again, next morning, depending on which Aromatherapy Associates blend we've used.
TBH, Aromatherapy Associates' previous diffuser was pretty darned fab, but the sleek and clever design of this takes things to another level. Launched just last Wednesday (26th May), this rechargeable device allows you easily to switch between Aromatherapy Associates blends – and because of the design, there's no water reservoir to refill, which makes this less of a faff than most diffusers.
Five oils are currently available to slot into the gadget: Revive, De-Stress, Breathe, Forest Therapy and our old buddy Deep Relax. You simply remove the plastic dispenser atop your chosen essential oil (we suggest keeping it safe), then screw on a lid that slots into The Atomiser, allowing 100% natural, pure oils to be dispensed into your chosen space. (It's rechargeable via a USB, so you can move it around from room to room as desired.)
To change the 'scentscape' of your surroundings, just take out one blend and replace with another, and the standard timing is 30 minutes – but you can go for a quick 'boost', if spirits flag.
The Atomiser isn't totally silent – there's a quiet and intermittent buzz as the oil is misted into the air – but after a few minutes we stopped noticing.
As life becomes more home-centric for the foreseeable future, Aromatherapy Associates are turning their attention to ways to 'allow everyone to create their own personal antidotes to the stresses of modern living'.
