Fab Find of the Week: Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rosehip newness

Rosehips have always been hero ingredients at Neal’s Yard Remedies – as far back as we can remember. (And, er, that is a LONG time.)

The reason is simple: this brilliant botanical ingredient is incredibly rich in antioxidants, alongside natural pro-vitamin A and vitamin E. The benefits? A more even skintone (in time), as well as – in the shorter term – increased glow.

As in: overnight, in the case of two of these products!!!!

Last week, Jo attended a truly beautiful lunch to celebrate the launch of this certified organic range, having a great catch-up with dynamic CEO Anabel Kindersley, who’s doing such a great job (and is currently in the middle of opening THREE new stores!)

Several of the products exist already, but have been repackaged as Wild Rosehip rather than Wild Rose, newly adorned with restful, calm and pretty pink labels – a style that will be rolled out across Neal’s Yard’s range. (And we LIKE…) But two launches in particular have captured our attention (and immediately, our heart): Wild Rosehip Cleansing Oil and Wild Rosehip Glow Cream.

Jo (who has been burning the candle at both ends with work, recently) was most definitely in need of complexion perkifying. So, that night, she reached for the Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rosehip Cleansing Oil– a gorgeously-fragranced skin treat, blending apricot, jojoba, rosehip and sunflower oils in a great make-up-melting blend, which is fragranced with frankincense, geranium, rosemary and patchouli. ‘I’d use it for the scent alone,’ says Jo, ‘but the results are brilliant. It cleanses dirt, grime, make-up and debris brilliantly, easily swooshed away with a hot, wet washcloth. As I always do, I even tried it on eyes – and no irritation, or filminess next morning. An absolute HIT!’

Then, the Wild Rosehip Glow Cream, which nourishes with shea butter, squalane, rosehip oil, aloe and more; ingredients are 99.7% natural origin, and it’s 57% organic. The scent of this cream had already seduced her over lunch – ‘honestly, it smells like a spa in a jar’, and it’s ‘just FAH-BU-LOUS,’ says Jo. ‘It takes a lot to get me to switch the cream I’m using, but I’ve done just that. It’s rich without being greasy, leaves my skin feeling so soft – and again, is an absolute treat for the senses. But it was the results which were so impressive – I woke up next day and looked rested and, frankly, more alive!’

They join a line-up that includes Wild Rosehip Beauty Balm (formerly called Wild Rose, and also now available as a Vegan Balm), Wild Rosehip AHA Toner, Wild Rosehip Beauty Serum, Wild Rosehip Hand Cream… Can’t wait to get our hands (literally) on THAT… Essentially, there’s a whole top-to-toe skincare portfolio, here, all designed for skin that could do with more radiance and alive-ness.

And who doesn’t need that, eh?
