Fab Find of the Week: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (upgrade)
Charlotte Tilbury has been waving her wand over her Magic Cream – the cream first developed for her A-list clients, which has become an absolute pillar of the range. Rich, nourishing, smoothing – and yes, a little bit magic.
That cream, however, just got its first upgrade, to incorporate ingredients which simply weren’t available when Magic Cream launched. It now features over 100 ‘multi-action peptides’ (Charlotte never does anything by half), in the form of something called a ‘Recoverstem Peptide’ (apparently sourced from something called the ‘Eternal Jasmine Youth Plant’ – not something we guess you’ll find in your nearest garden centre, but we like the sound of it).
Does it do what it promises, and work on ’10 signs of ageing’? (Ambitious claim, but Charlotte never does anything by halves.) We’ll have to loop back to you on that one, as it only landed on the desk last week.
You can’t really tell a difference, texture-wise, between this and the slightly cold-cream-textured original. But what we can report is that it feels really heavenly on skin, leaving it touch-me soft, looking instantly more plumped and cushion-y, and feeling very quenched and happy. (In their own trials, nine out of 10 users – in an impressive trial of 253 women – said they’d switch to this.)
If you’re a Magic Cream devotee – A-list or not – we think you’ll love the upgrade, too.
