We know the so-called ‘lipstick effect’ has been superseded by the eye make-up effect but frankly, we do give a damn about sweeping on a gorgeous lipstick for all those days when we’re not wearing a mask. These new Chantecaille Lip Veils join the existing collection and they are, quite simply, perfect. The three shades - Plumeria, Acacia and Tamarind – are the softest, prettiest, natural autumn colours, which suit all skin types.

Creative Director Oliver Chantecaille calls the tints ‘neutral’, which may sound a bit dull but we promise they’re not. They just make lip colour look like, well lip-coloured, but much better.

The texture is heaven as with all Chantecaille lip products. Creamy, light, and super emollient from the intensely nourishing, sustainable, FairWild-certified baobab oil it contains.

As usual with Chantecaille, there’s a charity element. Lip Veil was created to support Space for Giants, a conservation non-profit that protects elephants’ migratory paths across Africa. The box and tube both have an elephant tramping across them.
