Our thanks to the beauty industry – on behalf of Centrepoint

Gosh. We consider ourselves just so, so lucky to work in an amazingly generous industry. Never is that more evident than at our annual packing session, putting together beautiful gifts for the young residents at homeless charity Centrepoint.

How time flies. This is our 22nd year of doing this – a project started by Beauty Bible’s Jo (Fairley) with Sharron Lowe, motivational speaker for the beauty world (and beyond), and author of The Mind Makeover.

Beauty Bible sponsors the jute bags that are packed by beauty world volunteers, many working in PR (and therefore VERY good and speedy at bag-packing). But it is the generosity of the brands which we would particularly to recognise, this and every year.

For 2023, they included: ARK Skincare, Elemis, Kenneth Green Associates, Aspects Beauty, Dr. Paw Paw, Heathcote & Ivory, The Perfume Society, Weleda, Lumene, Nature’s Journey, Gatineau, American Crew, Revlon, Olverum, This Is Silk, Emma Hardie, Manucurist, Witch, Seoulista, Made of More, Leighton Denny, WUKA, Little Soap Co., Floral Street, Invisibobble, Phoenix Beauty, HUDA Beauty, The Ordinary, e.l.f., Environ – and huge apologies if anyone’s slipped through the cracks. (You can link to any of the brands above to read more about them, BTW.)

For 2023, we’re thrilled also to have pulled together 300 amazing fragrance gifts to the young men at Centrepoint – below is the charity’s John Raynham, who’s been our wonderful point of contact there for more than two decades.

We will have huge smiles on our faces on Christmas morning, thinking of the expression on the faces of the young men and women who’ll be opening their gifts – in many, many cases the only Christmas gift they’ll receive, this year.

But oh, what a gift! And isn’t this what Christmas really is about?

So, thanks from Beauty Bible to all the amazing beauty brands involved. It means so, so much…
