We’ve been wild about ishga for quite some time. And that’s rather an appropriate word, because this beautiful and fragrant skincare, bodycare and fragrance collection comes from one of the wildest and most beautiful corners in the UK: the Hebrides. It’s there that this COSMOS-certified organic skincare range harvests its signature ingredient, antioxidant-rich, mineral-and-vitamin-powered Hebridean fucus serratus seaweed.
ishga, you might like to know, is Gaelic for ‘water’. ishga Hydra+ Marine Cream (normally £125 for 50ml) – the powerhouse age-defying skin creation in the range, offering several weights of hyaluronic acid for optimum moisturisation, with that Hebridean seaweed extract, to visibly rejuvenate. Prickly pear, argan oil and shea butter also feature in the luscious, almost ‘whipped’ cream – and so, too, does a fascinating ingredient: Lus Nan Laogh, an ancient Hebridean healing remedy.
