There are some beauty categories where we never advise skimping, but when it comes to mascaras? There are some amazing, really affordably-priced options out there.
This is even more affordable than most, at £3.79, available in a waterproof and a ‘normal’ version, in black only. (But that’s what we always recommend, actually.)
Ignore Double Trouble’s name: it’s absolutely no trouble at all – on the contrary, the mascara goes on extremely well, via a fab double-sided brush (THAT’s where the name hails from), which has traditional, volumising bristles on one side, and can be flipped over to lift, lengthen and separate via the rubber (they call it ‘elastomer’) brush, on the flipside.
We’ve tried it several times. No flaking, no smudging, and no question that this rivals mascaras that are many times the price of this.
