Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Charles Worthington Moisture Seal range

Is your hair fried? Join the flipping club. Even though many of us are getting split ends snipped off, right now, the weather – which means most of us still have the heating on – is taking its toll on many a head of hair, sapping any remaining molecules of moisture out.

Here’s what we know: this is the moment to reach for products that specifically tout themselves as ‘moisturising’ – and here’s a great new collection from Charles Worthington, which does precisely that.

Our ‘hero’ in the range – because we DO love a hair mask – is the Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Intensive Oil Rescue Mask: slather generously to quench hair with ingredients which include a goodly dollop of argan, coconut, macadamia, ‘tsubaki’ (this is some new name for good old camellia oil), and Abyssinian oil. It will do the deed in one minute, but we like to leave masks for as l-o-n-g as poss, always, preferably wrapped in a warm towel. (You can actually make a clingfilm turban, alternatively – very effective.)

There’s also a Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Overnight Ultimate Hair Healer, with a pillow-friendly formula in the form of a lightweight, silky gel-cream.

Alongside this is a shampoo, conditioner and a leave-in conditioner; we also like to use these on ends, between blow-dries, for adding a touch of extra moisture to ends. Just smooth a few dabs into dry ends, comb and leave – because right now, more is more when it comes to hair-quenching.

And just send up a little prayer to whoever that soon, we can turn the thermostat down and stop sapping the life out of our hairdos.

All £6.99 for 160ml to 260ml sizes – buy here (NB Charles Worthington has a three-for-two at Boots at the mo, making this even more of a steal)
