Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Barry M WILDLIFE Eyeshadow Charity Palette

Barry M aren’t the first beauty brand to create palettes which help support animal conservation – but they’re doing so super-affordably. And with everyone’s thoughts on trying to stay within budget after Christmas, the £7.99 price tag on these WILDLIFE palettes allows for a little splurge with an extra feel-good factor, knowing that 20% (minimum) of net profits from the three palettes will be donated to the People’s Trust for Endangered Species, a partnership you can read about here

The first limited edition supported work to conserve rhinos, pangolins and tigers; this line-up will go to work preserving bees, butterflies and (yes) beetles, all vital elements in our fragile ecosystem.

Because yes, this time, it’s the turn of our little insect friends – which have somewhat of a lower profile, conservation-wise, but on whose existence we honestly do depend – to have a starring role.

The shades are inspired by the iridescent colours of stag beetles, butterflies and bees – the latter Bee palette offering the most wearable combination of mostly neutral/terracotta-y tones, with browns and creams in the nine-colour line-up (above). The Beetle curation, alternatively (see shades below), offers some rich and deep neutrals, with flashes of bright and shimmery shades, to catch the eye.

We’re all feeling the money pinch, after Christmas. But this could be just that feel-good purchase to brighten yet another grey January day…
