Beauty Bible Loves... ZING Toothpaste

ZING โ€˜Rebuilds tooth enamel.โ€™ Thatโ€™s quite a claim, for a whitening toothpaste, and frankly we wonโ€™t be able to feed back on that for some time (and following a dental appointment or two), but in terms of sensory pleasure and instant benefits โ€“ brighter-looking teeth and a fresh mouth โ€“ ZING has already delivered.

Lured by an Instagram ad (yup), we bought a Starter Pack of these toothpastes, and are massively enjoying them. And thatโ€™s the key (although weโ€™ll go on to explain how they work). Nice toothpaste = extra time spent brushing. Extra time spent brushing = healthier teeth and gums. Itโ€™s a no-brainer. And honestly, these are delish. The Mint is โ€“ yes, zingy. The Soft Peach is also great. Apple & Kiwi? Mouthwatering. Soft Lemon is also super-refreshing, and so flavour and fragrance are the big instant attractors, here.

What ZING have to say about what makes theirs different is interesting. โ€˜Most big brand whitening toothpastes destroy enamel. That's because supermarket whitening toothpaste use abrasive particles to scrub stains. These toothpastes are so abrasive they actually wear down the enamel itself, causing pain and sensitivityโ€ฆ It's why it's near impossible to find an effective toothpaste that whitens and repairs enamel and stops sensitivity, as cheap ingredients work against each other.โ€™

Instead of using abrasive particles, tea and coffee and wine stains are dissolved via an enzyme called papain (itโ€™s something youโ€™ll find in a lot of brightening face masks, too). ZING also use a mineral called Hydroxyapatite, which remineralises and repairs enamel โ€˜by filling the tiny holes in the surface of the tooth.โ€™ This can also help to tackle sensitivity, which they promise will be improved after just a few brushes.

It's probably more than youโ€™re used to spending on toothpaste โ€“ but for those of us focused on hanging onto a great smile for as long as possible? Worth skipping a week of takeaway cappuccinos for (er, part of the problem), and investing in a โ€˜wardrobeโ€™ of ZING, instead.
