Beauty Bible Loves... WONDERSKIN 1440 Longwear Eyeliner
Much as we love Lisa Eldridge’s eye pencil… it was not built for this heatwave. There’s smudgey-smoky (mostly a great look), and there’s melted-all-over-the-place. We persevered, because we love the look when it’s first applied – but then it goes a-wandering.
On Friday, Jo was present at the CEW Awards 2026, where WONDERSKIN 1440 Longwear Eyeliner pencil won a major award. Her ears pricked up. ‘Budge-proof.’ ‘Long-wear.’ Before you could say ‘panda’, Jo had ordered one – and is thrilled. (The 1440 name, incidentally, refers to 1440 minutes – or how long it stays put. Which translates to… 24 hours. And we can absolutely believe it.)
It really has stayed put through the very hottest days, since then. Even when travelling on ridiculously overheated trains. In fact, it’s so indelible that you do need a dedicated dual-phase eye make-up remover to get it off. (And a swipe in the morning to get rid of last traces doesn’t go amiss, either.) Reckon it’ll be great for holidays, moving forward. Lots of shades available – see below. But it’s black all the way for Jo.
We are really looking forward to a return to Lisa Eldridge’s pencil – but doesn’t look like that’ll be anytime soon, with the weather forecast we just listened to.
