Beauty Bible Loves... Studio 10 Prime to Perfect Refining Powder Silk

What a clever powder duo, from Studio 10 – a make-up brand for more mature faces, of which we’ve been fans since Grace Fodor first unveiled her range. (Jo had her most amazing makeover EVER using Studio 10 make-up, actually.)
This Studio 10 Prime to Perfect Refining Powder Silk palette, with its fab wide-angle mirror, really is super-versatile. The translucent Refining Powder works as a setting powder – and can be used on its own on moisturised skin, to take down shine. It works to ‘set’ concealer and foundation, without leaving it in the least bit flat and matte, or settling into lines. (Jo has recently been using a foundation that’s just a bit too glow-y, albeit in a perfect shade – and this has fixed the problem perfectly.)
And – see that smaller section, on the right of the palette? That’s a pan of Radiance Powder, for those times when you want (as they put it) ‘lit-from-within radiance’. Dust it all over, or dab a finger in the powder and touch it to brow bone, cheekbones. Altogether super-flattering.
The powder was sent to us with a perfect brush for the task. Years ago, Mary Greenwell steered us away from big, fluffy powder brushes, advising that a slimmer version is best for powder, because you can apply it in a more targeted way, rather than an all-over dusting. This Studio 10 Shade and Contour Brush (also pictured above) is absolutely the perfect size.
