Beauty Bible Loves... Rituals Dog Care
Hot on the heels (paws?) of Jo Malone London’s fragrant four-legged collaboration with WildWash (featuring an Orange & Cedarwood Dog Shampoo), Rituals have come bounding in with an entire collection they are collectively referring to as ‘The Dog Spa’.
Now, we’re a pretty dog-centric team at Beauty Bible. Sarah has Cassie, an exuberant, child-gate-vaulting cockapoo (definitely more spaniel than poodle, with her sleek coat), while Jo often finds herself sitting for Mabel, her granddog, an Australian labradoodle.
And as if stealing our spot on the sofa wasn’t enough, now canines are making a takeover for the bathroom shelf, with this line-up. So, what can you (and they) look forward to, in this Rituals range?
Gloss Like A Boss Dog Shampoo – first up, a grooming staple, which softens and fragrances with a blend of white tea, sandalwood and apricot. (Definitely a more sophisticated aroma than eau de muddy puddle – and with a smile-making name, in the spirit of this collection.)
Smell Ya Later Dog Dry Shampoo – for dogs who regard bathing as a personal affront (and we could name a few of those). This waterless spray is massaged through, then towelled or brushed out – jolly practical between actual baths, which can be such a faff.
Smell Like A Pup Star Dog Perfume – now, this might be a fragrant treat too far, but this alcohol-free coat refresher is scented with soft musks, sweet almond and powdery orris. Rather snuggly. (Like your dog?)
Pawtection Dog Paw Balm – the most down-to-earth ‘luxury’ here, designed to soften dry-feeling pads, with that white tea, apricot and sandalwood signature enhanced with chamomile. (Out of stock at time of writing – sorry – so you might need to revisit the website for this one, or you may be able to find it in Rituals stores.)
Shit Happens Dog Wipes (and yes, they’re really called that) – worth a place in the line-up, though: no-rinse wipes for paws, fur and miscellaneous muck – the instant answer to an unexpectedly enthusiastic walk. (Er, or worse.)
Fresh Like A Daisy Air & Fabric Freshener – for your surroundings, rather than the dog: white tea, apricot and sandalwood to refresh air and fabrics. A boon for homes where the sofa is shared territory!
There are gift sets, too, as well as stylish dog collars and bowls in the range. But then… nothing’s too good for Fido, is it?
