Don’t we all need things that make us smile, whenever we can, now?
Well, make-up doesn’t get any more fun, frivolous and downright silly-in-a-good-way than this seasonal offering from Paul & Joe, with its ‘nostalgic-cute’ compacts.
Choose from teddy bears, fluffy ducklings or (perfect for Sarah) lovely horsey illustrations. The lipstick cases fit many of Paul & Joe’s lipsticks, including the so-pretty autumnal offerings, 119 Écharpe Rose (‘pink scarf’), 121 Chataigne (a fab suits-all-skin tones chestnut), and (our fave) 120 Mulled Wine, with a really quite innovative texture: they’re enriched with lip-quenching shea, orange, jojoba and macadamia oils, but have an airy-matte texture and a l-o-n-g colour pay-off on the lips.
The make-up compacts fit either the eyeshadows (duos), eyebrow powders, or the lovely new autumn blushers, which blend several colours that swirl into one slightly pearlised tone – 001 Autumn Foliage (brown-y gold-y red), 002 Weekend Getaway (red/orange/gold) or 003 Endroit Préféré (translates as ‘stomping ground’!), which is basically a luminous coral pink
Importantly, these cutesy compacts are refillable – meaning they should continue to put a smile on our faces for some seasons to come.
